The form of this poem is an archaic Welsh verse form called Cywydd Llosgyrnog. The format is six lines, 8 syllables, 8 syllables, 7 syllables, 8 syllables, 8 syllables, 7 syllables. The first and second lines rhyme with the middle of the third line, the fourth and fifth lines rhyme with the middle of the sixth, and the end of the third line rhymes with the end of the sixth. It is very difficult.
